Recap from Barcelona's Copa Del Rey loss to Athletic Bilbao

It's frustrating to watch Barcelona lose the first game of the year. Athletico Bilbao tool advantage of our sluggish start and make us to pay for it in the space of three minutes we conceded two goals.

Even though some said the referee  was unaware replay in the 36th minute that Umitti was hit by Adruiz. Barcelona notable opportunity was was when Neymar was felled by Etxeita, which was denied by the red and in turn it was a hatrick yellow card after three Barcelona player Iniesta, Alba,  and Buquest was protest for a penalty.

In the second half Barca looks to make a comeback after Messi curled in a brilliant free kick but the damage was already done even after two Bilbao players Garcia and Iturraspe, both have been earlier yellow carded before receiving the matching order in the 78th and 80th minutes respectively. All effort time get the equalizer was fruitless as Athletic escapes with Nine men down. With the away goal Barcelona will look to make the needed come back at Camp Nou on the 11th of this month.
