Pique Could Face Sanction for Referee Criticism

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique could be set to face disciplinary actions following his comment regarding the referee after the Blaugrana's Spanish cup 2-1 loss to Athletico Bilbao at the Estadio San Mames.

 The defender voice out his frustration as he criticize the poor officiating by referee Fernandez Borbolan's Speaking to Mundo Deportivo after match he said

  ' I think it's a clear penalty (on Neymar),' ' I think mine with the goalkeeper is another penalty, but we know how this works. 'We want to play football and not roulette.' 

The match was marred with series of controversy, as three Barcelona players were shown the yellow card after Neymar penalty protest and also Adruiz was supposed to be sent off after he deliberately hit Umitti.

 However the Referee's Technical Committee will look into Pique's comment on Monday to see whether it's worthy of a sanction.
